كيف تصبح مدير إداري ناجحا

من أهم العوامل التي يشتركُ فيها كثيرٌ من المديرين الناجحين والمميزيّن هو الحرص على التحصيل العلمي العالي. مجتمعنا للأسف الشديد لا يعترف مهما بلغت مهارات وذكاء الشاب بشهادة أقل من الشهادة الجامعية. لذا كثيرٌ من المديرين التنفيذين الناجحين هم خريجو جامعات مرموقة على المستوى المحلي أو الدولي. ولقد فوجئت في إحدى المقابلات الوظيفية التي كنّا نُجريها لوظيفة (مدير تنفيذي) لإحدى الشركات الكبرى أن عُمْر المرشح كان لا يتجاوز الإثنين والثلاثين عاماً، وكان يشغل آنذاك منصب "نائب مدير تنفيذي" لإحدى الشركات السعودية الكبرى، وحيث إنّ سيرته الذاتية تشير إلى أنه خريج جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن وقد عمل في السابق في شركة توزيع عالمية في مدينة جدة واستطاع أن يحصل على شهادة ماجستير إدارة الأعمال (mba) أثناء عمله، ولكن المفاجأة الأخرى هي تفوقه على جميع المرشحين الآخرين الذين يفوقونه سنّاً وخبرة في العمل، وتم اختياره بالفعل لمنصب المدير التنفيذي. الحقيقة أن تعليمَه كان عاملا مساعدا في وصوله وفي هذه السن الصغيرة لمنصبٍ إداري عالٍ وإلى دخل مالي يتجاوز المليون ريال سنويا من دونِ ذكر الحوافز المالية الأخرى!!
أمّا أعجب وأروع القصص في أهمية ودور التعليم في النجاح الإداري هو ما سطّره شابٌ سعوديٌ في إحدى المحافظات القريبة من مدينة الرياض. حيث اضطرته ظروف والده المالية الصعبة أن يترك مقاعد الدراسة لكي يعمل ويساعد والده في تحمل أعباء الحياة وبالفعل استطاع أن يعمل في أحد المصانع كرجل أمن ويسهم في مساعدة أسرته ماديا ولكن المفرح في الأمر أنه أصر على أن يكمل مشواره التعليمي من خلال نظام التعليم الليلي. وقد أكمل مرحلتي المتوسطة والثانوية بتفوق ما ساعده في الحصول على قبول من معهد الإدارة العامة. واضطر إلى أن يغير عمله إلى مناوبات ليلية لكي يتمكن من الذهاب إلى الرياض للالتحاق بالمعهد صباحاً. وقد استطاع أن يكمل شهادة الدبلوم بنجاح. ولكن طموحه لم يقف عند هذه الشهادة وأصرّ على مواصلة دراسته الجامعية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وهذا ما تم بالفعل فقد حصل على البكالوريوس من جامعة عريقة في ولاية كاليفورنيا في إدارة الأعمال وحصل أيضاً على شهادة الماجستير من بريطانيا. وبعد عودته تدرج في السلم الوظيفي حتى أصبح "مديرا عاما" لأحد القطاعات في أحد البنوك الكبيرة في الرياض وبدخل سنوي يتجاوز ما كان يتقاضاه رئيس المصنع الذي كان يعمل فيه أثناء دراسته كرجل أمن. وعندما سألته عما سوف يُعلِّمَهُ لأبنائه من هذه التجربة قال بالحرف الواحد: أن يكونوا حريصين وانتقائيين في اختيارهم لجودة تعليمهم. جودة التعليم هي حقاً اللبِنة الأولى في الحصول على النجاح الوظيفي وخصوصا في القطاع الخاص. وغنيٌ عن القول إن الدراسة الجامعية التي لا تكسب الفرد إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية لا تقود في الغالب إلى وظائف قيادية.
يبقى أن نشير إلى أهمية بناء علاقات متينة وعملية إن أمكن مع زملاء الدراسة. أعرف عددا لا يستهانُ به من المديرين التنفيذيين الحاليين تولّوا مناصبهم العالية بترشيح مباشر من زملاء وأصدقاء لهم أثناء دراستهم. بناء العلاقات يعني فقط خلق انطباع جيد عند الآخرين عن إمكاناتك العلمية والعملية الرائعة ولا يعني بالضرورة موافقة الأصدقاء في أشياء كثيرة لكسب مودتهم فقط.
