يقول خبراء الموارد البشرية إن من المبادرات المهمة التي تحقق الرضا لكل الناس أن يجد الموظف على مكتبه لوحة تقول بأن عملهم الجيد يلقى التقدير وليس بالضرورة أن تكون هناك لوحة بل يمكن استخدام بطاقات البريد الإلكتروني والخطابات.
ومن المبادرات الإيجابية تجاه مساعدي المدراء كما تشير مجلة الانتلجنس ريبورت الامريكية ذكرهم عندما يتحدث المدير إلى النشرة الصحفية الخاصة بالشركة أو المنظمة. ويقول الخبراء أن تأثير الثناء يكون أكبر عندما يحدد المدير ما فعله المساعد لينال الثناء. فمثلاً لا يكفي أن يقول المدير أن المساعد فلان يعمل بفعالية في ظل الضغوط بل الأفضل القول عبارة مثل: (لقد عمل فلان ساعات إضافية لمدة أسبوعين متواليين حتى نتمكن من إنجاز هذا العمل).
أما إذا كان المساعد يتبع لمنظمة مهنية فعلى المدير مساعدته على تسجيل نقطة لصالحه هناك. فإذا كانت المنظمة تخصص جوائز لهذا العام يستطيع المدير ترشيح مساعده. وحتى إذا لم يكسب المساعد الجائزة، فإن اهتمام المدير وجهده لترشيحه سيكون له تأثير عميق في نفس المساعد.
